DTC launch
A Shopify launch checklist for a product brand.
A storefront launch is a sequence of product, content and operational decisions—not a final screen review. Use this checklist to make the first customer journey clearer before the site goes live.

Use this before a project handoff or launch review
01
Set the product hierarchy
Confirm the products, collections, variants, prices, inventory rules and primary calls to action that the storefront must present at launch.
02
Gather approved product material
Use the latest product photography, copy, ingredients or claims, shipping information and customer-service answers. Keep one owner for content changes.
03
Map the first journey
Walk from a campaign or search landing page to a product, cart and checkout. Make sure each step answers the next useful customer question before asking for action.
04
Check the responsive experience
Review navigation, product media, option selection, forms and calls to action on the phone sizes that the team expects customers to use.
05
Review launch dependencies
Confirm platform access, domains, payment and shipping settings, essential integrations, redirects and analytics requirements with the people responsible for each one.
06
Leave an operating handoff
Document the content areas the team will maintain, the launch sequence, known follow-up work and the people responsible for first-week support.
Scope boundary
Know who approves what.
The checklist does not replace platform, payment, shipping, legal, accessibility or privacy review required for a specific storefront and market.
